I just wanted to thank the Casa de Costa Rica team for helping us have a fabulous vacation last week! The house was beautiful and just as promised in the listing. We had tons of fun in the pool, playing badminton in the yard, and using the back patio area as our personal oasis. The tours that they helped us plan all worked great! We loved all of them, but zip lining was probably our favorite. Arelis’s meals were perfect and she was so sweet–we loved our 2 meals with her. I cannot say enough good things about William at Casa de Costa Rica and the customer service he provided. I considered several properties in the la Fortuna area, but found William to be the most responsive of anyone. He helped me plan all the excursions and arranged the transportation to and from the airport. Every personal guide that William arranged was top notch. The catered dinner was efficiently prepared on our arrival day, and delicious. Every excursion that we went on was with a high quality person or company that we were extremely pleased with. William also handled a last minute emergency that we experienced – my daughter’s flight was canceled due to snow and we had to re book her flight which led to her arrival 8 hours after our arrival. William checks his email all hours of the day and night. Within minutes of sending my panicked email on our travel day at 6 am, William had responded that he set up this extra transportation. Knowing this allowed me to travel without the stress of worrying how my daughter’s travels. The house itself was very nice, comfortable for the 7 of us and the outside was great with the pool and the beautiful landscaping. The air conditioners work well and do a great job cooling. It’s too bad the weather for our trip was cloudy and rainy; we spent more time indoors when not out exploring the surrounding areas. We rented a car while at the house and found it very easy to get to and from our excursions and town for dinners as well as stops at the local supermarkets. I think having a car is key. There is no better place to stay than the Hideaway in LaFortuna! The pictures do NOT lie. This is an amazing property in an unassuming neighborhood that is a very safe walk to every restaurant in LaFortuna. For that matter, we felt very safe wherever we walked throughout LaFortuna. It is filled with some of the friendliest people in the world. But our experience started way before we set foot on the property. The concierge services that are offered without cost were amazing. Nohelia shared in-depth knowledge of every inch of the area and only recommended the most reliable service providers for every excursion we partook in. Her thoughtfulness was felt with every e-mail that was exchanged, even when we sent repetitive questions to doubly ensure that we understood what we were signing up for. We have never experienced the promptness of service in any other location in the world. From the moment we left San Jose (the driver arranged by Nohelia was 10 minutes early) we experienced outstanding service. The driver even took the time to stop at a grocery store about 30-minutes before we arrived in LaFortuna to make sure that we had everything we needed as we walked into the Hideaway. Every excursion departed on time…really, not a minute late. The advice we received from the extensive “book” at the house about restaurants to visit and ones to stay away from was indispensable and spot on. While it is a bit outside of town, you will not want to miss dinner at Rancho Perla. We ate there twice! But there are other recommendations that were also great. The home was more than “perfecto” for our family of 4. Each of our kids had their own room, which allowed them private space to stay up late or wake up early without impacting anyone else’s vacation experience. The kitchen, dining area, and living room were sized perfectly. The outdoor space is hard to do justice in a written form. It is spectacular! There are 4 different outdoor sitting areas with one under a very large covered veranda. The outdoor gas grill and kitchen were fantastic and allowed us to cook a fabulous meal with locally procured ingredients. The pool was not huge, but was just fine for cooling off and having fun with the “surprise” awaiting us in the smaller kiddie pool. It was a very good surprise, but we aren’t going to ruin it for you! The greenery almost everywhere was beautiful. There is no other place we would consider staying in Costa Rica, unless we bought our own home. This should be added in testimonials. – David P

The home is located in town – a very short, safe walk to restaurants, shopping, etc. It is clean and spacious. The covered outdoor space is great! So many excursions to choose from in the area. We found the locals friendly and welcoming. The owner, manager and Nohelia, the customer service agent, were super helpful – went above and beyond. Nohelia was a dream to work with and helped plan and book every aspect of our stay. We are already planning our next Costa Rica trip! Let me start by saying that everything is exactly as described about this house and the photos are true and accurate. Our stay here was FANTASTIC. From beginning to end, working with Nohelia and the team at Casa De Costa Rica was great. Communication was fast/responsive and when we got there the check in/out process was quick and easy. The house itself was very clean, comfortable (A/C works great!), and in a great location located just a short distance from the town centre of La Fortuna. We also had CDCR arrange our zipline and hanging bridge activities and that went perfectly as well. I would highly recommend staying at the Palm House if you’re visiting La Fortuna and I would definitely work with CDCR again to stay at any one of their other properties. Riverbank was great, we loved this place. Photos are accurate. The whole experience from booking to check out was effortless. This location was perfect for our stay in La Fortuna just steps from town center and easy walking distance to nearby restaurants, cafes and markets. Also, a short drive to locations outside of town. We will definitely stay with Casa de Costa Rica again. This should be added in testimonials. Bill H

William was extremely helpful, not only in getting me more information about this rental, but about many other questions and concerns I had about getting around/things to do Costa Rica. These rentals are really great! The location is perfect, they are very clean and have a fantastic view of the volcano. My only regret is not staying longer. Thank you William for everything!
