Biking
Enjoy bike riding on the gravel pathways through the small town El Castillo, along the lake for 13-26 km. Along the ride you may see howling monkeys, coatis, and birds such as toucans, egrets and king fishers. You will stop for a picnic on the shore of Lake Arenal where you can take a dip in the water if you wish or just relax in the shade. The bikes are well maintained and come in three different sized depending on your height.
You will need closed-toes shoes, comfortable clothing, hats, sunglasses. Take sunscreen, bug spray, protein/granola bars and cameras.
